PHC accepts four of the nation’s largest insurances including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Healthlink, Medicare, and UnitedHealthcare. We take other insurances and health management organizations.   • You are responsible for a $100 deductible and 20% co-payment. If you have supplemental insurance, please bring that card with you.

  • he Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers (PHC) offers discounted healthcare services on a sliding fee scale. The amount of the discount is based on your family size and income, and can be fully discounted if you fall below 100% of the federal poverty guideline.   • Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers (PHC) is committed to providing comprehensive primary health care to impoverished, uninsured populations in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

    Current proof of income (one of the following):

    • 2 recent check stubs
    • Last year’s tax return
    • A letter from the Division of Employment (unemployment statement)
    • Current W-2 forms
    • Picture identification
    • Utility bill for address verification

    If you qualify for the sliding fee scale, you pay $25.00. (The fee increases to $75.00 if you do not bring proof of income.)

    After the visit, patients should expect to receive a bill for the remaining balance (if applicable).
