Sidewalk Talk: We Listen and We Don’t Judge

Join Us for a Powerful Mental Health Awareness Month Event

People’s Health Centers is proud to partner with Sidewalk Talk USA, the Mental Health Board, Delmar Divine, the Black Healers Collective, and InPower Institute for a meaningful Mental Health Awareness Month experience.

This unique, community-based event centers on connection, listening, and healing — open to all and completely free.

What is Sidewalk Talk?

Sidewalk Talk is a global listening movement that brings trained volunteers into public spaces to offer one simple gift: empathetic listening. There’s no advice, no judgment — just heart-centered connection. For Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re bringing this powerful experience to St. Louis to create safe, welcoming spaces for people to be heard and supported.

Why It Matters

In today’s fast-paced, high-stress world, being heard can be a powerful tool for healing. Sidewalk Talk creates:

  • Safe spaces for open conversation
  • Moments of connection that reduce isolation
  • Community-driven mental wellness
  • Opportunities to discover local mental health resources

Event Highlights

  • One-on-one listening sessions
  • Creative wellness activities
  • Mental health resource booths
  • Community partners sharing services and support

Whether you’re looking to talk, connect, or just be present — you’re invited. No appointment needed. Just show up and be heard.

Want to be a listener

Listeners are volunteers who offer their presence, kindness, and open hearts to anyone who wants to talk. No experience needed — training will be provided for all listener volunteers!
