Sara Ficenec, MD is a general OB/GYN physician providing care at People’s Health Centers and St. Mary’s. She offers a full range of women’s health services, including prenatal care, well-woman exams, contraception, and treatment for gynecologic conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Ficenec also performs surgical procedures, including hysterectomies and ovarian cyst removal, and provides obstetric care, including delivering babies.
Dr. Ficenec was drawn to women’s health to help patients better understand their bodies and feel empowered to make informed decisions about their care. She is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients and creating a supportive, educational environment.
Outside of work, Dr. Ficenec enjoys spending time with her family, especially keeping up with her busy toddler. On her days off, she loves exploring the many beautiful parks throughout St. Louis. She especially values the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team and connect with new patients every day.
